Halloween 2017

Carver Farms

We are very lucky to be so close to carver farms! We live heading down there and are disappointed to find out… this is their last year to have corn!

Orofino Fair days – 2017

Since September signifies hunting season we usually leave the husband behind and head to Orofino for lumberjack days! Enjoy the pictures! We had a great time this year… I even got a wristband and rode with the girls!

First Day of School – 2017

My girls def love school and can’t wait to go back when summer break is over!!

Bring on Kindergarten and 4th Grade!!

Katelyn is also sooo excited for Kindergarten! For the first time in forever my kids are at the same school! This Mom is in heaven!

Happy 4th of July!

This year we were able to once again take a week off around the 4th of July!  We went to the river and had a great times with friends! Of course george and friends had to one up the fireworks from last year! This year we did the fireworks early in the week, which was nice because we got to watch everyone else around us let them off on all the other nights we were camping!  I didn’t get a ton this year but enjoy the pictures!!

Softball Season Coming to an End

This year both girls played little league here with the Lakeland Little League!! It was Kiersten’s first year of fast pitch and Katelyn’s first year of T-Ball. They learned so much this year and had a blast! So much fun but this mom was ready for the 5 day a week practices and games to be over!

The Drake Flock

I have been wanting chickens for as long as I can remember and I knew when we moved out on property I would maybe get to have some! After months and months of begging george, in one weak moment he agreed! I think it was a “fine, get them if you want but I’m not taking care of them comment.”
I took that as a YES! That was a Saturday and by the next morning the kids and I had a plan for getting and raising chicks!
Sunday we made a trip to North40 and got us, Bella, Lilly, Pepper, Blacky, Oreo, and  Cocoa!

We kept them inside in a self made brooder (rubbermade tote and heat lamp). We raised them in the garage for the first 8 weeks. During this eight weeks we went back and forth between building and buying a coop!! We ended up doing a combination! We found a coop on Craigslist that turned out being awesome! We bought it, put it in place, built a run around it and painted and trimmed out the coop to look like our main house!

It turned out awesome and the girls LOVE their new home!
