We are very lucky to be so close to carver farms! We live heading down there and are disappointed to find out… this is their last year to have corn!
It’s that time again!! To let the sadness come in as we lock the gate for the last time of the year! This river is seriously the best in the summer and I’m so glad we have it! But when summer comes to an end… I dream of next summer!!
Since September signifies hunting season we usually leave the husband behind and head to Orofino for lumberjack days! Enjoy the pictures! We had a great time this year… I even got a wristband and rode with the girls!
My girls def love school and can’t wait to go back when summer break is over!!
Bring on Kindergarten and 4th Grade!!
Katelyn is also sooo excited for Kindergarten! For the first time in forever my kids are at the same school! This Mom is in heaven!
This year we were able to once again take a week off around the 4th of July! We went to the river and had a great times with friends! Of course george and friends had to one up the fireworks from last year! This year we did the fireworks early in the week, which was nice because we got to watch everyone else around us let them off on all the other nights we were camping! I didn’t get a ton this year but enjoy the pictures!!
I just need to take a moment to reflect… our lives have been so crazy busy this years since January! Holiday travel, new school year, softball for both girls, the river cleanup, the new house and everything that goes along with the house, camper being totaled, new camper shopping and purchase… it just all seems like a lot! Now FINALLY. We got to slow down a bit and and go to the river! It wasn’t all fun, we still had flood cleanup to do but I thought the flood cleanup would last all summer long! We were able to finish it up on Saturday and RELAX on Sunday, which was amazing and unexpected!
The water is still crazy cold, but that doesn’t seem to stop the kids! There thought process:
You just have to get in long enough to get numb, then you can play all day!!
That is how the kids got through the first weekend at the river! Although this year we haven’t gotten down there much to relax, I’m still thankful we purchased the river for our kids to grow up on!
